On January 30, 2025, an update for EUC World to version 2.52.3 was released. This version introduces two key new features: support for BT-enabled fast chargers and support for native safety margin, which has been introduced by Begode/Extreme Bull in latest wheels and firmware updates.
Support for BT-enabled fast chargers
For some time now, fast chargers for electric unicycles have been appearing on the market, which are essentially modified power supplies originally designed for telecommunications equipment. The first versions of these chargers featured simple LED displays and potentiometers, which were used to adjust the output voltage and charging current. However, newer versions of these chargers have recently become available, featuring a color LCD screen. Instead of potentiometers, these newer models use buttons or a touchscreen for control. These chargers are not only much safer and more reliable but also allow for remote configuration, adjustment, and control via Bluetooth.
EUC World, starting from version 2.52.0 and later, provides nearly full support for these chargers, enabling users to fully utilize EUC World's capabilities to manage the charging process. In this case, a smart plug is no longer necessary, as the app connects directly to the charger. Users can easily configure charger parameters within the same range as the dedicated charger app.

Additionally, EUC World can visually display the charging process, which helps assess battery condition and detect cell issues early. The app also enhances charging safety by implementing protections against excessive output voltage, charging outside the battery’s safe temperature range, and other potential risks.
EUC World supports chargers such as Pidzoom HW170P and Roger Charger V4SC, but it should also work with other similar chargers (e.g., Hou Nin’ 4815G2, Hou Nin’ HW R4875, and similar models).

Native safety margin in Begode and Extreme Bull wheels
The safety margin is a parameter that indicates how much power is still available at any given moment. When the safety margin is at 100%, it means the wheel’s motor is not under load, and all its power is available. However, when the safety margin drops to 0%, it signifies that the wheel has reached its stabilization limit — any additional strain, such as a gust of wind, a small rock, or an uneven road surface, will result in a fall. Ouch!
This safety margin, which is closely linked to so-called "PWM", is one of the most critical pieces of information for riders pushing their wheels to the limit. For this reason, nearly all electric unicycles on the market have been transmitting this parameter for a long time.
Nearly all, because until recently, Begode and Extreme Bull were the only wheels that did not support this parameter natively. Instead, it had to be calculated by the app based on other available wheel data — mainly battery voltage and riding speed. Unfortunately, this calculated value had a margin of error, which required an additional safety buffer. As a result, the most aggressive riders were unable to fully utilize the potential of their wheels.
On August 22, 2024, I asked Jason McNeil from eWheels to put pressure on Begode/Extreme Bull to finally add a feature for transmitting native safety margin in the new firmware versions. I knew I could count on Jason, and I wasn’t disappointed. Later that same day, I received a copy of the message in which Jason forwarded my request to Peter and another person at Begode. At the turn of 2024 and 2025, I accidentally discovered that my request had been fulfilled, which allowed me to add this feature to the EUC World app.
Does my wheel support safety margin natively?
To check whether your Begode or Extreme Bull wheel supports the native safety margin, simply connect to your wheel in the EUC World app and go to the Wheel menu.
- If the Safety margin scaling option is disabled (grayed out), it means your wheel is transmitting the safety margin data directly to the app. That's great, you get the most reliable value of safety margin!
- If the Safety margin scaling option is enabled, it means your wheel does not send this data, and the app is instead calculating the parameter based on other available data. However, your wheel might support the native safety margin with a firmware update. Check if an update is available that enables this feature for your model.

This is the third consecutive update of the EUC World app made possible thanks to the generous support of a company from the electric unicycle market. This time, a huge thank you goes to Pidzoom, a company that provides accessories useful for every electric unicycle owner. Thanks to Pidzoom's support, users of the latest models of their fast chargers can now enjoy new features, enhancing the capabilities of their chargers when used with the EUC World app.
