EUC World 2.54.0 has been released

At the end of April, an EUC World 2.54.0 was released on Google Play. One of the most important new features is support for the latest wheels, but beyond that, this update brings a range of improvements and bug fixes.

Support for Inmotion V9 and E20

These two latest wheels from Inmotion break the trend of releasing increasingly faster and heavier wheels designed mainly for advanced riders. The Inmotion V9 is particularly interesting and surely posed an exciting challenge for the engineers who designed it. The V9 attempts to combine the comfort of 60 mm suspension travel with the versatility of a commuter wheel, all while maintaining relatively low weight and an attractive price. It’s not a long-distance cruiser but is intended for riding distances up to 30–40 km. Thanks to its wide tire, it can also handle light off-road use, though it’s not meant for rough terrain. The front headlight, known from the V11, does an excellent job of lighting the road without blinding pedestrians or oncoming traffic. The package is rounded out with Bluetooth speakers, which can be used to listen to music or in conjunction with the EUC World's AVAS function. The Smart BMS shouldn't be overlooked either, as it provides extended diagnostics and battery status monitoring.

The Inmotion E20, on the other hand, is a unique wheel, as it features two twin wheels mounted on a single axle with a motor in between. This design allows for limited balance support even while stationary, similar to other two-wheeled vehicles like the popular Segways and hoverboards. Its performance is very limited – the top speed is 20 km/h, and the 240 Wh battery, according to the manufacturer, offers a range of up to 30 km. In reality, you should expect about half that. It’s safe to assume this vehicle is intended purely for learning purposes. The limited speed, small battery, and modest 450 W motor don’t allow for much else.

EUC World offers almost complete support for both new Inmotion wheels, except of firmware update functionality and a few minor settings. RideConnect, a new feature in the Inmotion V9 that enables remote access to the wheel, is also not supported.

Support for NOSFET AERO

NOSFET is the newest player in the electric unicycle market, debuting in 2024 with the APEX model. This company leverages some technologies that have proven effective in LeaperKim wheels, but in key aspects such as suspension, lighting, and mechanical design, they use their own proprietary and innovative solutions. So while the APEX shares some similarities with the Veteran Lynx, it has its own unique character and quickly earned recognition from riders around the world. Following the success of the APEX, NOSFET introduced a smaller wheel — the AERO. It can already be said that this is a very successful wheel that, like the Inmotion V9, combines light weight with the comfort provided by suspension.

EUC World provides full support for both the APEX and AERO models and, in terms of functionality, offers all the capabilities of the factory app, including firmware updates and downgrades. At the time of writing, the factory app is not available on Google Play at all.

Other updates and changes

This EUC World update improves support for Begode X-Way wheels (both 134 V and 168 V battery versions). Basic support has also been added for the King Song F22 Pro. Since Smart BMS data reading is not yet supported for this wheel, the battery level readings may differ from what’s shown on the wheel’s display. Support for the F22 Pro will be improved in future EUC World updates. Charging control functionality has also been enhanced. Additionally, a few minor bugs have been fixed.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to visit Google Play and update EUC World to the latest version. I strive to update the app actively and regularly so you always have the best and most reliable tool for your unicycle. That’s why it’s a good idea to enable automatic updates for EUC World in your Google Play settings. Many users forget to update and then get frustrated when their old app has trouble with newer wheels.
